Paris bronze medalist Lewis Richardson signs with Queensberry
Britain’s lone boxing medalist of the 2024 Olympics will turn pro under the guidance of Frank Warren
Frank Warren announced this morning that Britain’s most successful boxer of the 2024 Paris Games, super welterweight bronze medalist Lewis Richardson, will join teammate Delicious Orie on the Queensberry roster.

Warren and co. have yet to announce a date for his professional debut. Orie picked up a decision earlier this month on their Adeleye vs TKV show.
Richardson, starting in the Round of 16, took 3-2 decisions over Serbia’s Vahid Abbasov and Jordan’s Zeyad Ishaish before falling short against Marco Verde in the semis. He boasts a strong pedigree and the skills to utilize his 6’1.5” frame, but only managed one stoppage win in 65 recorded amateur bouts and is already 27 years, suggesting the need for an expedited pro schedule he may not have the goods to realize.
Still, he was the best of a by-and-large unimpressive squad and Britain’s domestic scene is deep enough to give him a respectable career even if he doesn’t reach the world stage. Best of luck to him.
