ONE Championship 171 results: Joshua Pacio unifies belts with stunning upset of Jarred Brooks
The oddsmakers didn’t give Joshua Pacio much of a shot in his trilogy fight against Jarred Brooks.
They certainly weren’t likely to have expected Pacio to win in the manner in which he did, either. Pacio (23-4) pulled off a stunner when he pounded out Brooks (21-5) late in the second round. The stoppage came after dozens of punches with Pacio on top and Brooks covering up on the canvas against the fence. The ref stepped in with 38 seconds left in the round.
Pacio unified ONE’s 125-pound titles. He was the champ coming in – but he won the title back from Books on a disqualification when Brooks spiked Pacio on his head 56 seconds into their bout at ONE 166.
