David Benavidez and David Morrell meet in a light heavyweight Prime PPV main event!

Thursday, Jan. 30

TrillerTV PPV, 7:00 pm ET, Les Gladiatuers Du Ring. $14.99 American gets you a show out of Montreal, headlined by Mazlum Akdeniz vs Gabriel “Silence Warrior” Coffee. Everything else listed on BoxRec is a six- or four-rounder, so you’d better love the main event if you’re buying this one.

Friday, Jan. 31

DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, George Liddard vs Derrick Osaze. A Matchroom show out of London. Junaid “Star Boy” Bostan and Bilal Fawaz fight for a vacant British English 154 lbs. title in support. Fawaz previously rocked a shampoo-commercial worthy hairstyle that looked like a guy from a late 90s boy band travelled back in time to make new wave music… Maybe he’ll bring it back for this fight?

Saturday, Feb. 1

Peacock, 2:00 pm ET, Adam Azim vs Sergey Lipinets. The 22 year old Azim takes another big step forward against former world champion Sergey Lipinets, last seen pulping Robbie Davies’s nose in a Fight of the Year of the Week of the Year level war last May. Scott Christ is scheduled for your live coverage here, so please don’t mention that this is for an IBO world title at 140 lbs. He hates when people do that. Callum Simpson defends his Commonwealth super middleweight belt in support. BLH will have live updates

Prime PPV, 8:00 pm ET, David Benavidez vs David Morrell. The matter of Best David finally gets settled at 175 lbs. instead of the 168 where they used to share David space. Both Davids have vicious power on top of P4P level talent, both had an acclimation fight at light heavyweight last year… This has the ingredients for an ultra-violent slugfest, a high level chess match, or anything in between. Benavidez comes in the slight betting favorite, perhaps because he’s got 18 more fights of professional David experience than Morrell. But, it’s a close line in an excellent matchup where it’s not hard to make the case for either David to out-David the other David. Elsewhere on the card, Brandon Figueroa defends his WBC featherweight title against Stephen Fulton in a rematch of their outstanding super bantamweight fight back in 2021. And, Isaac Cruz returns for the first time since his loss to Jose Valenzuela last August. This one costs you $79.95 American, but that’s less than $40 per David, with the rest available at no additional charge! BLH will have live updates
