‘Doesn’t actually look half bad’ – Fans stunned as footage of Wayne Bridge boxing TV star emerges ahead of KSI fight
FOOTAGE of Wayne Bridge boxing has emerged following the shock announcement that he is set to fight KSI.
Bridge – a Premier League winner with Chelsea – will take on the YouTuber after meeting him in the ring at Misfits Boxing on Saturday night and being targeted with vile abuse about his row with John Terry.
The 36-cap ex-England defender retired from football in 2014 and used boxing to keep fit.
He even had a charity bout in 2016 before facing Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews two years later for Sport Relief.
Bridge won the bout on points – at one point forcing the referee to give Matthews standing counts.
And clips of the former left-back’s boxing skills circulated on social media to the surprise of some fans.
One said: “Wayne Bridge doesn’t actually look half bad if he can brush up and get fit he can make this fight a good one to watch.”
Another added: “Looks like a well schooled amateur does Wayne.”
But still there was an outrage after 44-year-old Bridge – with limited boxing experience – was announced to fight KSI.
One said: “Wayne bridge vs KSI is the most embarrassing announcement I’ve ever seen.”
Another fumed: “Pathetic announcement by KSI.”

One raged: “April Fools comes early. What an absolute joke of a fight.
“KSI criticises others for their choices in opponents and goes ahead and chooses a 44 year-old retired footballer.”
Another added: “This has to be a joke.”
KSI, 31, has not fought since losing for the first time in October 2023 to Tommy Fury, 25, via controversial decision.
That was his eighth bout, with five of those wins, drawing once and also having a no-contest on his record.
KSI faced off with Bridge in the ring at Misfits 20 and aimed a dig at the defender’s infamous feud with ex-Chelsea team-mate Terry.
Terry allegedly had an affair with Bridge’s ex-partner Vanessa Perroncel in 2009 – which KSI referenced.
Bridge and KSI then shoved each other and had to be split by security ahead of their criticised March 29 bout.
