Abdukakhorov Vs Lipinets delayed due to visa issues

Earlier today it was confirmed that the October 10th bout between Kudratillo Abdukakhorov (17-0, 9) [Қудратилло Абдуқаҳҳоровдан] and former world champion Sergey Lipinets (16-1, 12) [Сергей Липинец] has had to be postponed due to visa issues.
The race for Abdukakhorov to secure a visa was known about in mid-September, though the hope was that they could get it sorted in time for him to arrive in the US and have his 2 week quarantine period. Sadly however issues have prevented the Uzbek from securing the visa he needed in time.
At the moment the bout is only "postponed" and not cancelled, though a date and venue hasn't yet been determined for the bout going forward.
Unfortunately the issues that have arisen here do, at least somewhat, prove the difficulty of having international fighters travelling from one country to another for a bout. Hopefully, going forward, we won't see visa issues forcing any more cancellations. Sadly however this isn't the first.
