Grappling Report: Eddie Cummings officially joins Unity

0 5

A rundown of the biggest headlines and news from the world of competitive grappling.

It’s safe to say, it is the end of an era for the Danaher Death Squad.

After a tumultuous two-years, leg lock virtuoso Eddie Cummings has found a new home at Unity Jiu Jitsu. Cummings’ relationship with Danaher’s Death Squad had been a topic of discussion in the grappling world over the last few years as the once-pivotal part of the team had been seen training elsewhere. On Friday, Cummings took to Instagram to confirm he would be joining Dillon Danis and the Miyaos at Unity:

In the time before joining Unity, Cummings had been training extensively with his ever-present training partner and fellow EBI champion Jon Calestine. It is interesting to note that Cummings will be training with a number of featherweights at Unity who regularly compete in the same tournaments as Calestine.
