Covington slams ‘piece of sh-t’ Darren Till for comments about family

0

“I’m gonna [expletive] go slap that little kid, and [expletive] make him sorry for being a piece of sh-t.”

UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington didn’t take kindly to Darren Till’s controversial comments about not caring for his pregnant wife and daughter.

Till, who leapfrogged Covington for a title shot vs. Tyron Woodley, recently said “I’ve got a girlfriend who’s seven months pregnant, I don’t really care. I’ve got a daughter in Brazil who I haven’t seen for a year, I don’t really care. I just care about legacy and greatness.” But the top contender said his words were taken out of context and that he was trying to convey just how important it is for him to win the welterweight title at UFC 228.

Covington, however, isn’t buying Till’s excuse, telling BJPenn.com that he plans to make the Liverpudlian ‘sorry for being a piece of sh-t’.

“Yeah, it shows he’s a fake piece of shit, and how do you not care for your daughter?’” Covington said. “You’re the man that fucking decided to go put your dick somewhere, and not use a condom, and be responsible for that, so own up to it man. Take responsibility. Be a fucking man.”

“So that’s sad, man, to see that. That’s disgusting. We don’t allow that in America. That’s not the way of the American people. That’s why I’m here. I’m gonna fucking go slap that little kid, and fucking make him sorry for being a piece of shit.”

Till brushed off any criticism over his comments and called his detractors ‘online trolls’ and, to be fair to the Brit, ‘Chaos’ is one of the biggest trolls in the mixed martial arts sphere. The controversial welterweight has been blocked on social media by several UFC fighters and has even made enemies outside of MMA.

Covington is expected to challenge the winner of Woodley vs. Till, which is scheduled to take place next month, Sept. 8 at UFC 228 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
