Video: Floyd Mayweather shows off lightning-fast hands as he trains for Conor McGregor fight

0

Yeah, it looks as if Floyd Mayweather is still pretty good at boxing.

Floyd Mayweather (49-0, 26 KOs) is gearing up for his August 26th boxing showdown with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor (0-0, 0 KOs) by training his takedown defense, his underrated half-guard game, clinch striking against the fence, and his seldom-seen spinning back kicks.

I’m only kidding, of course. While McGregor has been showing everyone stills of him landing on his sparring partners, Mayweather posted this video on his Instagram page. Check out the blazing speed he’s still got at 40 years of age.

“I know I'm not the same fighter I was 20 years ago, I'm not the same fighter I was 10 years ago,” Mayweather wrote. “As a matter of fact, I'm not the same fighter I was 5 years ago, I'm just an old legend putting in work in 16 oz gloves.”

There was no footage of him trying to punch playing cards.

Mayweather vs. McGregor airs live on Showtime PPV from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
