Steph Curry got bonked in the face by a referee's bad pass
At least they were good sports about it.
Referees are tasked with a host of duties, whistling foul calls and managing the game among them. But they’re also responsible for passing the ball to players before a play starts.
One referee needs to hit the practice gym and get his accuracy up:

A couple of takeaways here:
- Stephen Curry is out here flopping for the culture. There’s no way that referee put enough oomph on that pass to send a grown man crumbling to his knees.
- Referee Derrick Stafford should pursue a second career teaching certain point guards how to master the off-the-heezy, because he’s clearly got that down.
- Zaza Pachulia has zero emotions whatsoever after watching his two-time MVP teammate reduce to ash.
- The other official, Sean Wright — the intended target — definitely got a kick out of watching Curry fall to his knees.
At least the referees were good sports about their mishap:
Our bad. We’ll stick to making the calls, and let the players handle the no-look passes… #NBAFinals https://t.co/HXr1qFwt6b

Better luck next time.
