Stanley Cup Final live stream: How to watch Predators vs. Penguins Game 1 online
The Stanley Cup Final begins on Monday in Pittsburgh.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are four wins away from their second consecutive Stanley Cup championship. Standing in their way, however, is the Nashville Predators.
Game 1 between the Penguins and Predators in the Stanley Cup Final starts Monday evening in Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena. This is the Predators first trip to the Stanley Cup Final in franchise history. For the Penguins, this is their fourth since 2008. They’ve won their last two appearances.
The storyline of this series seems to be Pittsburgh’s overwhelming offense versus the Predators active and aggressive defense. Sidney Crosby leads a strong scoring core for the Penguins, with Evgeni Malkin centering Pittsburgh’s second line. Matt Murray will be back in net for the Penguins, as he has recovered from the injury that had him miss the first two rounds of the postseason.
The Predators, on the other hand, are missing top-line center Ryan Johansen to injury. Captain Mike Fisher will likely slide in on the second line after his injury caused him to sit out the end of the last round. However, the defensive core of Mattias Ekholm, Roman Josi, P.K. Subban, and Ryan Ellis could just make up for the Predators lack of scoring.
Pekka Rinne will start in goal for the Predators.
