NASCAR Richmond 2017 live stream: Start time, TV schedule, and how to watch Toyota Owners 400 online

0

The 2017 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup season will be a quarter done after Sunday’s race, the 2017 Toyota Owners 400 from Richmond International Raceway in Virginia, the ninth of 36 races on the schedule this year.

When does this race start?

The Toyota Owners 400 will see the green flag at approximately 2:14 p.m. ET.

How can I watch this race on TV and online?

Television coverage for the Toyota Owners 400 will be provided by Fox beginning at 2 p.m., with Mike Joy calling the race with Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip, and Larry McReynolds. Pit reporters for this race include Chris Neville, Vince Welch, and Matt Yocum.

Online streaming of the race is available through Fox Sports Go.

Where is this race?

The Toyota Owners 400 is at Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Va., and has been run since 1953, when it was first known as the Richmond 200. Richard Petty won this race six times in his career. The closest active driver to Petty is Kyle Busch, who won this race four consecutive years, from 2009-12.

This is the first of two races this season at Richmond. NASCAR returns here on Sept. 9 for the Federated Auto Parts 400, the final race before the start of the Cup Championship Playoffs.

Quotable

Carl Edwards won the 2016 Toyota Owners 400 for Joe Gibbs Racing, but so far in 2017 that group is without a victory. Matt Kenseth finished fourth last week at Bristol, and Kyle Busch won this race four times and finished second in this race last year.

“Matt Kenseth really needed that and so did Joe Gibbs Racing. They were so good at Richmond last year. They dominated,” said Gordon earlier this week. “They’ve been good on the short tracks. They’ve got a little bit of work to do on the mile-and-a-halfs, but look for them to be the dominant team this week at Richmond.”
