[Football] Carroll Wraps Spring Football Season

HELENA, Mont. – rushed for a 12-yard touchdown on the first drive, and  scored on a six-run the last to highlight a strong offensive performance at the final Carroll College Scrimmage Saturday at Nelson Stadium.

The two running backs that will likely be key for the Saints in the upcoming season were productive in limited action. Walsh ran just four times for 40 yards and a touchdown and Ali ran 11 times for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The problem with a scrimmage, if the offense succeeds, the defense struggles, that is what happened Saturday.  The final drive, the defense had the offense in third down and long but gave up a 35-yard pass from  to  to set up the touchdown run by Ali.
