Duke lands Wisconsin transfer guard John Blackwell

Duke on Tuesday landed a commitment from Wisconsin transfer guard John Blackwell, sources confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season, and 15.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists as a sophomore.
Blackwell was ranked the No. 3 transfer in the portal, per 247Sports.com.
His other suitors reportedly included Duke, Illinois, Alabama, Arizona, UCLA, and Louisville.
Duke freshman guard Cayden Boozer and sophomore center Patrick Ngongba already announced their plans to return, while Jon Scheyer’s team also added Belmont forward Drew Scharnowski.
