Syracuse guard Kiyan Anthony set to return to the program
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
Syracuse is retaining one of their key recruits from last season.
Orange guard Kiyan Anthony will return to Syracuse to play under new head coach Gerry McNamara for his sophomore season, per On3.
The 6-foot-5 freshman, and son of NBA Hall of Famer and Syracuse legend Carmelo Anthony, experienced a rocky season as a member of the Orange in his first year of college. Syracuse went on to fire head coach Adrian Autry and hired McNamara, who won a national championship with Carmelo Anthony in 2003.
Kiyan Anthony averaged 8.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in his freshman year. He will continue develop under a new system at his father’s alma mater.
