Robert Morris transfer Kam Woods has committed to USC, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG on Thursday. Woods – a 6-foot-2 senior guard originally from Alabama also spent time at Troy, North Carolina A&T and NC State.

With the Trojans recently losing star guard Rodney Rice for the season with a shoulder injury, USC head coach Eric Musselman made it clear that the team was looking to add another player mid-season.

Last season for the Colonials, Woods averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for his team. He played a crucial part of a Robert Morris team that made the NCAA Tournament and was eliminated by Alabama in the first round.

With Woods set to play for his fourth program, he will be joining recent Robert Morris transfer Amarion Dickerson, who was in his first season with the Trojans before suffering a season-ending injury, and was also a key part of last season’s squad in western Pennsylvania.

He will be eligible to play for USC immediately and could make his debut for the Trojans on Sunday against UC Santa Cruz.
