Five-star Blair Academy guard Deron Rippey Jr. sets announcement date

Five-star guard Deron Rippey Jr. has set his announcement date.

Rippey Jr., the consensus No. 1 point guard in the Class of 2026, will announce on Dec. 30 at 4 p.m. at the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center in Brooklyn.

A live stream is not yet set.

Ripey is considering Duke, N.C. State, Miami, Tennessee and Texas.

“Ron Ron is an elite competitor, winner, athlete and person,” New Heights AAU director Adam Berkowitz told NJ Advance Media. “He brings a killer mindset and the highest character. Whichever school gets him will have hit the lottery.”
