St. John’s and Michigan to play at Madison Square Garden in preseason Top-10 matchup

A preseason Top-10 matchup is set to tip off at the world’s most famous arena on Saturday.

No. 5/6 St. John’s will take on No. 7 Michigan at Madison Square Garden in The Red Storm’s first ever exhibition match at the garden.

The “Bad Boys Mowers” series will feature St. John’s making its first of fourteen guaranteed appearances this season at Madison Square Garden.

Rick Pitino’s team was ranked No. 6 in the USA TODAY Coaches Top 25 poll, its highest preseason rankings in the programs history. They were ranked No. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll which is also a program best.

This exhibition will mark the beginning of a season filled with high expectations for St. John’s. Tip off will be at 7 p.m. EST.
