Four-star guard Darius Bivins has scheduled four visits and is planning four more, he told ZAGSBLOG.
Bivins, the 6-foot, 160-pound guard out of Bishop O’Connell (VA) and the Washington Warriors Adidas AAU program, has set these visits:
Stanford: Sept. 18-20
USF: Oct. 11-12
Rutgers: Oct. 17-19
VCU: Oct. 22-23
Bivins is also considering Texas Tech, Maryland, Seton Hall and Houston and is working on visits to those schools.

He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG:
Texas Tech: “Me and Coach Buff [Kellen Buffington] and Coach [Grant] McCasland have built a great relationship, they have had a lot of success with small guards like myself and that’s what they are preaching to me. And they are a winning program, and aren’t scared to play freshman (guards especially) 25+ mins a game, like they did last year with Christian Anderson.”
Rutgers: “They have been recruiting me for the longest out of any of these schools and me and Coach TJ [Thompson] have built a super great relationship, they have always believed in me even when I didn’t have my best games, and they had 2 top 5 picks last year, and not to mention the whole coaching staff was point guards when they played.”
VCU; “Coach Chris Cole and I have also built a good relationship given that he is really close to some people in my circle, and they care about development up at VCU which is something I really look for in a school, and their facilities are awesome, and Coach [Phil] Martelli [Jr] has a past of winning.
Houston: “Coach Mike [Ekanem] has been the main one recruiting me, all the way since he was at Oklahoma State, but they actually sent me a really cool comparison video of how their previous guards and I play similar and how they think I would fit in their system, I love how they have a ball screen heavy offense, and I think I could fit in for sure. Not to mention, they are in the final 4 almost every year.”
Maryland: “Coach [Wabissa] Bede is the main one recruiting me and me and him have a great relationship, Coach Buzz [Williams] lets his guards play and do their thing which is what they have expressed to me, and it’s super close to home which is a plus, excited to watch them play this year given they are in a new conference.”
Seton Hall: “Coach Rasheen Davis and I are real close. They have an underdog mentality, which I like because I feel like I have been an underdog my whole life. They’ve proven to win at the highest level with small guards. I love their development up there and their competitiveness.”
Stanford: “The academics is a super plus, you can get the best academics and still play at the highest level, Coach [Kyle] Smith had a Zoom with my family and just explained how their program operates and I loved every bit of it.”
USF: “Not too familiar with the program, but super exited to visit, love their offense and style of play.”
