The Great Britain U20 Men’s team have reached the quarter-finals of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2025, Division B in Yerevan after finishing second in Group A with a 2-2 record.

Alan Keane’s side sealed second spot in the group, and the right to face Group B winners Latvia in the quarters on Friday, by defeating Portugal 67-66 in their final group game.

This head to head victory against Portugal, along with other results, allowed Team GB to come in second above the Portuguese as both sides recorded two wins and two losses in group play.

Vermont transfer Benjamin Michaels scored 18 points and made a decisive steal, before sinking two clutch free throws with two seconds left to close out the game against Portugal. Kyle Maddison of Stevens Institute of Technology hit four out of six from three and provided 17 points off the bench, while 2025 Hoopsfix All Star Classic MVP Edward Onyia had a massive 15 point and 16 rebound double-double.
