Five-star wing Jaxon Richardson cut his list down to ten schools, he announced on Instagram. Richardson is a 6-foot-6, 200-pound forward and recently won a national championship with Columbus High School (FL), while playing alongside the Boozer twins.

Richardson’s final list of ten schools includes: Alabama, Miami, Villanova, Seton Hall, Ole Miss, Michigan, USC, Creighton, Louisville and Cincinnati.

Notably, Michigan State did not make the cut. His father Jason and his older brother Jase are both legendary Spartans and apart of lengthy NCAA Tournament runs.

Richardson has already planned multiple visits for this coming fall, including a potential visit to Cincinnati in August, Alabama in September and Ole Miss in November, he told the Field of 68.

The five-star’s former high school coach Andrew Moran was hired by Miami in April and will serve as an assistant coach and the director of player development. That’s a notable relationship in Richardson’s recruitment.

Richardson previously broke down a few of his finalists to ZAGSBLOG:

Alabama: “I love the coaching staff. They’ve always been positive to me, reaching out. They’ve been there since my freshman year, so they’ve shown a lot of support. So that just means a lot to me. And just when I got to campus, meeting the players and meeting the team, I felt like it was a great experience.”

Michigan: “They reach out to me almost every day. So that means really a lot to me. Just when I went up there, getting to see the style of play, the ball movement they have there is ridiculous. So that’s definitely something I took away from there.”

Cincinnati: “Always been there since freshman year as well. They probably out of anybody show me the most love. They talked to me everyday since I was a freshman. So that means a lot. Just when I go up there, the coaching staff loves having me there. So that just means a lot to me.”

USC: “That relationship has been there for a while because my dad played under coach [Eric] Musselman. So just having that relationship already, knowing the coaching staff has just been great. And also just the players. It’s really nice up there.”

Richardson is a five-star recruit and is ranked the No. 20 overall player in the class of 2026.
