Sion James Draft Update: Charlotte With The #33 Pick!
Great spot for James and an excellent pick for the Hornets
Looks like Sion James will be starting his NBA career with Charlotte as the Hornets took him with the 33rd pick. He’ll meet Duke teammate Kim Knueppel there as the Hornets took him with the #4 pick
James only spent one year in Durham but he distinguished himself as a defender and tough-minded point guard. He’s powerfully built and that will help him now too.
At Duke, James averaged 8.6 ppg, 4.2 boards and 2.9 assists. He shot 52.6 percent overall and 41.3 percent from behind the line. James also pulled down 2.9 apg and nearly a steal a game.
What people love about him though is his strength and tenacity. Every team can use a pitfall defender and James is certainly that. Best of luck to him as he begins his NBA career!
