From the elegant to the ridiculous

The 2025 NBA Draft is Wednesday night and for Duke fans that means Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach are all, bar some unusual twist of fate, likely to be lottery picks. And we’ll all love to see them walk out to get their cap of course.

The NBA Draft is much more than a simple distribution of new players though. Among other things, it has become something of a fashion show with guys putting together their very best looks.

In this video, which lacks any recent players - the most recent we think is probably Jalen Rose - we see a fashion sense more rooted in the 1980’s and ‘90’s. Some guys go for elegance, like Hakeem Olajuwon and Thurl Bailey - but others, like Samaki Walker and Jalen Rose, are more exuberant. Then there’s Terry Cummings, who was secure enough to arrive in a pair of jeans and a polo shirt.

Listed below are the 10 players on this Top Ten NBA Draft Best Suits list.

We’ll see what this year brings. A while back, guys started to get tailored suits. Some of these are great. Some, like Grady Dick’s, are hilariously, unapologetically bad. He picked red because he came to the NBA from Kansas and ruby and Dorothy or some such nonsense.

He eventually lived it down but the pictures will follow him forever. Let’s hope Duke’s guys make better choices!

The full list in the video.
