Duke Recruiting: Sebastian Wilkins Commits!
Duke’s class is once again looking really good
Sebastian Wilkins committed to Duke today, likely finishing roster construction. He’s a terrific addition who could be a strong rotation player. Why?
At 6-8, he can play multiple positions. He’s strong, particularly for his age, he can handle the ball, he’s improved his shooting a good bit apparently and most importantly for Jon Scheyer, he’s a willing and versatile defender.
You can imagine him on the floor with Malik Brown and Dame Sarr for some seriously difficult D.
Here’s Duke’s updated roster for this coming season. As we have seen, Scheyer’s model is tall and defensively oriented. This group doesn’t have a Mark Williams, Dereck Lively or Khaman Maluach, three bigs we’ve seen in recent years at Duke, but Patrick Ngongba is a crafty and sly big while Maliq Brown reminds you that 99.9 percent of defense is played while your feet are on the ground.
We’ll have more later.
