Jayson Tatum Update: Sitting For Game 3
His wrist is still no bueno.
The Boston Celtics are scheduled to play the Orlando Magic on Friday evening in Orlando in Game 3 of their NBA Playoff series and that should mean a Brotherhood matchup between Jayson Tatum and Paolo Banchero.
Unfortunately, Tatum, who injured his wrist in Game 1, won’t be ready to go.
According to HoopsHype, Tatum has a right distal radius bone bruise. For those of us who aren’t doctors, look at this and think: ouch! It would affect everything you do with a basketball from shooting to dribbling to grabbing a rebound or, perhaps, a jersey.
To be clear, this image shows a fractured radius and Tatum has a severe bruise. Big deal: that would still hurt and hurt a lot. You try it.
On the bright side, Boston is up 2-0 and if they win at Orlando Friday, they’ll be up 3-0 with four chances to put the series away. They can probably afford to let him rest and recover with a lead like that.
