Latest Duke Chronicle Profile: Caleb Foster
It’s easy to look down Duke’s roster and see guys who had a great season: Cooper Flagg. Kon Knueppel. Tyrese Proctor. Khaman Maluach. Sion James. Patrick Ngongba.
You could keep going but we were really trying to get to the subject of the Duke Chronicle’s latest player profile, Caleb Foster, because in some ways, we admire his season as much as anyone’s.
Why? Because when he was faced with adversity, Foster never gave up. He never quit. He just put his head down and worked.
And soon enough, he re-emerged as a hugely important player off the bench.
This was not the path that everyone, including Foster and coach Jon Scheyer expected, but from here, anyway, it looks like an incredibly honorable road to walk.
Obviously everyone has to decide what they’re doing in this new era of college basketball, but we hope he decides to stay at Duke. Aside from his triumph this season, his resilience and character are huge assets for Duke Basketball.
