Golden State basketball is on the way! Come join our game thread and chat about tonight’s matchup here.

The Golden State Warriors finish off their seven-game homestand with Thursday night’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors. The game will be played at 7:00 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

After snapping their seven-game winning streak on Monday night, the Warriors responded with a strong 104-93 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Golden State controlled the first half, taking a 58-44 lead into the break, but saw that advantage slip away in the third quarter as the Bucks outscored them 32-20, cutting the lead to just two.

Without Stephen Curry, who sat the game out for rest, the Warriors leaned on Jimmy Butler to generate offense. Butler delivered a stellar performance, finishing with a team-high 24 points, 10 assists, and a perfect 11-of-11 shooting from the free-throw line. In the final four minutes, with the Warriors clinging to a 96-93 lead, they locked down defensively, holding the Bucks scoreless in an 8-0 run to close out the game. Draymond Green anchored the defensive effort, sealing the win with his trademark intensity on Bucks’ superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

What to watch for tonight:

Golden State is expected to have Curry back in the lineup after his one game off. The only player on the Warriors’ injury report is Gary Payton II, who has been playing well as of late but is listed as questionable due to left knee soreness.

On the other side, the Raptors will be shorthanded, missing multiple players, including leading scorer RJ Barrett.

With a 40-29 record, the Warriors have finally created some separation from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers in the race to avoid the Play-In Tournament. They now hold a one-game lead over both teams with 13 games remaining in the regular season. Facing an undermanned Raptors squad, Golden State has a prime opportunity to build on this lead before embarking on a crucial six-game road trip this weekend..
