BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Frewsburg in Class C and Sherman in Class D won Section VI championships in girls basketball on Saturday at Jamestown Community College.
Jadyn Trocki had 18 points and 10 rebounds, Teghan Trocki scored 17, Jayden and Taytum Jimerson joined them in double figures, and Frewsburg cruised to 66-32 victory against Maple Grove for its second straight C title.
Emmersen Crawford scored 17 points and Isa Kioko had 11 as top-seeded Sherman rallied from down 12 in the fourth quarter to beat Panama 45-42 for the D title. It's the 13th sectional championship for the Wildcats (21-1), and first since 2022.
Frewsburg (18-5), ranked No. 3 in the state, and fourth-ranked Sherman advance to Far West Regional playoff games against Section V champions on Saturday at Buffalo State Sports Arena.
