The Golden State Warriors finish off another back-to-back with Friday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers. The game will be played at 4:00PM PT in Indianapolis and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State snapped their two-game losing streak with a nice 107-104 victory over the Detroit Pistons to kick off a four-game road trip. Missing five rotation players—including starting small forward Andrew Wiggins—the Warriors had to rely on their depth to pull off the win.
That spark came from reserve forward Gui Santos. The second-year player stepped up when his number was called, delivering a crucial 13-point performance off the bench. Santos shot 4-of-6 from beyond the arc while providing energy on both sides of the floor, earning him key minutes in a tight contest.
Gui Santos was greeted in Golden State’s locker room with a joyous ovation that reporters could hear from the visiting interview room. “Well deserved,” per Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Gui Santos said he figured he’d be in Golden State’s rotation when Wiggins was ruled out. As for the postgame locker-room ovation, “To have the whole team cheering for me, that feels so good.”

What to watch for tonight:
The Warriors aim to build on last night’s momentum as they take on the Pacers. Just like Detroit in the previous matchup, Indiana is hot right now, currently riding a four-game winning streak. They’re led by the All-Star duo of Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton who are currently the team’s two highest scorers this season.
However, in the matchup between these two teams back in December, it was Pacers center Myles Turner who was the biggest difference maker in the game. Turner was a menace down low against the Warriors, scoring 23 points to go along with 10 rebounds and three blocks. Although he missed Indiana’s most recent game due to illness, his presence in this one could be a game-changer if he returns.
Slowing down Indiana’s front court will be a major point of emphasis for Golden State, so expect more minutes from Warriors’ center Kevon Looney. The veteran big man had a nice game against the Pistons last night, earning praise from head coach Steve Kerr in his postgame press conference.
Steve Kerr: “This happens every year: I take Loon out of the lineup, bring him back, then I’m like, ‘Why did I take Loon out of the lineup?’ He’s a winner.”

Looney, alongside the other Warriors depth players will be critical especially with Steph Curry and Draymond Green listed out for the game.
Steph Curry (knee) and Draymond Green (back) are both out tonight in Indianapolis. Missing the second night of a back-to-back. Warriors also without Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski and Gary Payton II.
