Irving is no longer a young buck, but every so often, he turns in an absolute gem. This was one of those.

Former Blue Devil Kyrie Irving has had some real ups and downs over the last few years. He fell out with his three previous teams - first the Cleveland Cavaliers, then the Boston Celtics and finally the Brooklyn Nets.

In fact, when things hit rock bottom with the Nets, there were people who thought that Irving might not be able to find another team that would be willing to take him on.

In New York, Irving and the Nets had two primary conflicts: first, his refusal to get the Covid vaccine and second, his apparent endorsement of a movie that many found offensive and anti-semitic.

Ultimately he found a new home with Dallas and his career has gotten back on track there. The Mavericks got to the Finals last season and while Irving didn't have a great series, he helped get his team there and only a handful of players get to say that every year.

He’s now 32 and while Irving isn’t the same blinding talent he was a decade ago, he’s still one of the best guards in the NBA and the best ball handler in the history of the game. Like all aging veterans, he’s learned to rely on his skills and experience as his physical advantages narrow.

And as you’ll see in this video, he’s still capable of lighting up a scoreboard: he racked up 46 in a ridiculous performance against Portland earlier this week.
