Steve Kerr provided updates on the Warriors superstar.

Per Steve Kerr during his pregame media availability, Steph Curry’s bilateral knee pain isn’t something deemed too serious. Rather, it’s that his knees have been bothering him due to being “banged up,” and per Rick Celebrini’s recommendation it was decided to sit Curry out in time to rest him up for the upcoming road trip.

“At 36 you’re just going to have more aches and pains,” Kerr said. “Fortunately, the MRI that he had yesterday was negative. He needs some time to clear the tendinitis that’s in his knees right now and hopefully in the next couple days it’ll do that.”

The Golden State Warriors are currently 3-0 without Curry this season — but have a 105.7 offensive rating in 783 non-garbage time possessions without him, equivalent to the 28th ranked offense in the league. With them facing the best defense in the league in the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors will have a daunting task ahead of them in terms of generating offense without their offensive fulcrum.
