Class of 2026 No. 1 center Moustapha Diop chooses Georgia Tech

Moustapha Diop, the No. 1 center in the class of 2026, has committed to Georgia Tech, per multiple reports.
The 6-foot-10 Overtime Elite product chose the Yellow Jackets over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Georgia, Missouri, Ole Miss and UCF, among others.
“GT is a great basketball program that I believe will be one of the top schools in the country in a couple of years,” he told Joe Tipton of On3 Sports. “I have been around the GT campus since my sophomore year, so I have been going to watch their practices every now and then. Also I really like how they treat their bigs. They get them involved on the offensive end and they trust them. They make them comfortable with the ball and let them ball out and I like that.”
Diop is Georgia Tech’s fist pickup in the class of 2026, though head coach Damon Stoudamire built a lot of momentum in the 2025 cycle, bringing in four-stars Brandon Stores (G), Akai Fleming (G) and three-stars Eric Chatfield (G) and Cole Kirouac (F).
