LeVert spent this summer rehabbing an injured knee.

Caris LeVert missed Game 5 of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ second-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics with what was called a left knee bone bruise at the time. LeVert said that the injury was caused from wear and tear. He spent his summer getting healthy again.

“I spent a lot of this offseason rehabbing my knee,” LeVert said after practice Tuesday when asked about his summer. “I injured it last year in the playoffs. So a lot of it was doing that. A lot of it was the same [as previous years]. I’m going on nine years. I kind of know what it takes for my body [to be ready] at this point.”

LeVert confirmed that he’s fully healthy now, but it took him until about two or three weeks ago to feel that way.

“Anyone who’s dealt with a knee injury or anything like that, you have good days and bad days, good weeks and bad weeks,” LeVert said. “So it was kind of up and down. But I would say about two, three weeks ago, I started to feel consistently good.”

LeVert is entering his fourth season with Cleveland and the final year of his current contract. Last season he averaged 14 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.1 rebounds on .421/.325/.766 shooting splits in 68 games. He contributed 10.1 points and 2.3 assists in 11 playoff games last season.
