The Toronto Raptors have added another piece to their training camp roster

With August passing us by, the Toronto Raptors have solidified their roster for training camp. The latest signing comes Monday morning, as the team announced they have signed Jared Rhoden to an Exhibit 10 contract, per the Raptors as well as Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.

Rhoden played for the Detroit Pistons and Motor City Cruise last season — averaging 4.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 14.4 minutes during 17 games in the NBA. In those games he shot 50% from the field and 38.7% from distance.

He also played 53 regular season games in the G-League for the Motor City Cruise, where he averaged 19.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. Rhoden played college basketball at Seton Hall in the Big East Conference.

An Exhibit 10 contract allows a player to come to camp and compete for a two-way spot on Toronto’s roster, or their 15th normal roster spot. If Rhoden gets cut from the Raptors, he will receive a monetary bonus, as well as a roster spot on the Raptors 905 in the G-League.

Per Murphy, this signing means the Raptors’ training camp roster is now complete. They have 21 players signed at the moment. That includes 14 guaranteed contracts, 3 two-way contracts, 3 Exhibit 10 contracts, and Bruno Fernando’s non-guaranteed contract.

The three two-way players are Branden Carlson, DJ Carton, and Ulrich Chomche. The Exhibit 10’s are Jamison Battle, Quincy Guerrier, and now Jared Rhoden.
