Stephen Curry on playing in the Olympics: It's like playoff basketball
Stephen Curry, playing in his first Olympics, also highlighted the challenge of coming together. “It’s like playoff basketball. Different dimensions on the court, shorter time frame, 48 to 40 minutes, physical brand of basketball,” Curry noted. “But the biggest adjustment for us is to put all our different skill sets together on the fly. Like if this team had a full year of training and chemistry and all that, we wouldn’t be talking about the adjustment that much.”

Curry and Durant exchanged a warm embrace before the game. The two are reunited on USA Basketball for the first time since winning two titles and making three NBA Finals together with the Golden State Warriors. Curry and Durant also dined together in Las Vegas during training camp. “We definitely, definitely, definitely did talk about some good times that we had together,” Durant told Andscape. “[Curry is] Just an incredible human being. Everyone was enjoying the Durant show, especially in the first half. Despite not playing at all in any of the exhibition games that USA, Durant went off for 21 points on 8-8 shots to pave the way for his team’s win. Curry wasn’t surprised at all. “Nothing he does is surprising,” Curry commented. “Being so perfect in the first half. He had 21 or something like that. It’s special and he’s so used to this stage.
