A Jayson Tatum Links Run

Let’s see where this conversation has gone

The controversy over Steve Kerr benching Jayson Tatum continues, so we thought we’d do a links run. The most interesting things here are the sniping by Stephen A. Smith, followed by the sniping at Stephen A. Smith by Doug Gottlieb, criticism by Sir Charles and an interesting take by Austin Rivers.

Our take is that Kerr is the coach, he’s got a sold track record as a coach and he also has the experience of playing for Phil Jackson when he had to deal with the egos of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. Compared to Rodman, dealing with Tatum is bound to be a breeze. We should also point out that while many have expressed outrage over Tatum being benched, as Kerr pointed out, and Rivers echoed, Tatum was entirely professional and supportive.

And by the way, Kerr also says that Tatum will play against South Sudan. But for now, the furor goes on.
