Luka Doncic: 'We didn't win the Finals but we did have a hell of a season'

0 5
However, this edition of the Mavs is positioned for sustained success. “I feel great,” Doncic said when asked about the present and future state of the Mavs after their Game 5 elimination loss. “We did some great [personnel] moves. I would say we’ve been together for five months. I’m proud of every guy that stepped on the floor, all the coaches, all the people behind [the scenes]. “Obviously, we didn’t win Finals, but we did have a hell of a season.”

Also, this was a freaking awesome season.
Sucks that Luka wasn’t healthy for the playoff run – not saying the final outcome changes, but it would have been cool to get to see.
There was a lot of joy to be had – remember how you felt each round – thank you, Mavs, for that. – 11:26 PM

I hope Luka commits himself to getting into the kind of shape it requires to play both ends at the highest level. He’s truly a remarkable player, and I think he’s competitive enough that he’s going to take this experience and learn from it – 10:55 PM

He’s been to the playoffs four times. Lost twice to far better teams. In the other two he reached a WCF as a 4-seed and a Finals as a 5-seed. He’s vastly outperformed expectations.
