This is pretty cool and reciprocated too

Jared McCain was only at Duke for his freshman season, but he made a big impression on Duke fans. Not only was he a wonderful player, his buoyant personality won a lot of people over. At this point, we know good players aren’t staying long and it’s harder to bond with guys who only stay here for a year. If you look back over the last decade or so, there are guys who came through that are sometimes hard to remember.

Not McCain. He was uniquely charismatic and he always played with a smile on his face.

What’s nice to learn is that he loved his time at Duke too. Check out what he said about his time in Durham: “I love — I love — Duke. I mean, that was the best year of my life. I’ve said it a lot but I loved it. So it was a tough decision to leave Duke. But it was the best decision for me and my career.”

Speaking of his career, he obviously hasn’t been drafted yet, but his greatest talent of course is shooting. Well, in a pre-draft combine, McCain hit 19-25 threes. That made a major impression on NBA types and may help to push his stock that much higher.
