SEC Announces Men's Basketball Opponents for OU's First Season in Conference

The Southeastern Conference announced the men's basketball opponents for 2024-25, Oklahoma's first season in the league.

Each team will play three teams at home and away, and the remaining 12 opponents will be played once each, with six home games and six away games for a total of 18 conference games.

The Sooners will play Texas, Texas A&M, and Missouri both at home and away.

OU's remaining six home games will be against Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

OU's remaining six away games will be against Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.

Two of the three opponents that are being played twice will be permanent opponents, with the third team rotating each year.

It was not revealed which two opponents will be permanent for OU to play twice each season.

The SEC conference season will start January 4 and conclude March 8.

The SEC Tournament will be played at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, March 12 to 16.
