Reports have surfaced from royal experts Hugo Vickers and Arthur Edwards that the King could have made time to see Harry this week had he really wanted to, and from Charlotte Griffiths that William (as well as Queen Camilla) likely played a factor in Charles’ ultimate decision not to see his younger son this week.

The first season of Archetypes on Spotify, Meghan Markle's podcast, ended in November 2022. As there are no words yet if there will be a second season, what happened to the podcast of Prince Harry's wife?

Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly have a $32-million deal with Spotify, giving them a platform to launch their own podcast, Archetypes, under their Archewell Audio. But what will be the podcast's future after the first season's release?

The Future of Archetypes

The first season of Archetypes featured 12 episodes with A-list guests, like Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Andy Cohen, Mindy Kaling, and more.

Of course, the former actress herself talked about her life in the U.S. with her husband, Prince Harry, and two kids, Archie and Lilibet, after stepping down from their senior royal roles in the U.K. in 2020.

But as the first season ended, it's not yet the end of the podcast. So, will there be Archetypes Season 2?

"We're working on other ways to keep the conversation going," Meghan said during the series' closing episode via Town and Country Mag. "But just know that as we close out this season of Archetypes, that I thank you. Thank you for listening and learning with me. This has been liberating and healing, and it's been fun."

Though the former Suits star didn't confirm a second season, she left fans hopeful for the show's return.

Archetypes' Trademark Application Issue

Changes may happen in Meghan's Archetypes podcast after being denied its trademark application.

The Duchess of Sussex's production company reportedly learned its application to

Why? It was because of a "likelihood of confusion" with a current trademark, per CheatSheet.

The name was found to be "too similar, identical in appearance, sound, and meaning" to the one Project Miracle IP Holdings registered in May 2018.

But fans don't have to worry, there's still hope to trademark Archetypes. Archewell Audio still has until April 2023 to continue its application, extend it, or abandon it altogether.

Overcoming the Trademark Refusal

Intellectual property lawyer and legal firm Foot Anstey partner Paul Cox revealed a way to overcome the trademark refusal.

Meghan must only submit "arguments" that will "persuade the examiner there is no likelihood of confusion with the earlier mark."

Alternatively, Project Miracle IP Holdings can only complain that the Archetypes podcast's name infringed on their trademark if they're "concerned."

Cox explained that legal action is usually costly and requires "detailed consideration."

If the U.S.-based company doesn't feel Archetypes will cause any commercial damage, it may not invest the "time, energy, and money" to prevent the name's use, even if it can do so.

Hence, Archetypes may continue using its name, while Archewell Audio may submit a "standard response" to counter the denied trademark application.

The podcast may continue without an official U.S. registration if it doesn't work. Another alternative is that Meghan can buy the rights from the current trademark holder.

The Duchess of Sussex has tried different eating methods, from gluten-free to vegan. However, she opts for a balanced diet, making sure to healthy foods and even treating herself once in a while.

Royal biography Finding Freedom authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand revealed, via Express, that her morning ritual was drinking a cup of hot water with a slice of lemon.

She will then take her favorite breakfast, steel-cut oats with soy or almond milk, bananas, and agave syrup for a little sweetness.

Other times, she prefers to eat an omelet with cheese, fresh herbs, and a slice of toast.

From there, she will have a heavy lunch and a light dinner.

Meghan Markle’s Exercise

Knowing her mom, Doria Ragland, is a yoga instructor, it’s no surprise that Meghan does yoga for exercise.

"I love an intense vinyasa class," she said.

"And even better if it’s blasting hip-hop and done in a dark room with candlelight. The best," the former actress continued. "I’ll do yoga a couple of times a week. Hot yoga specifically."

According to The Healthy, yoga is Meghan’s "go-to workout" for her mental and physical health. She even did it when she was pregnant.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have always been proponents of giving back.

Charity has played a huge part in their relationship, both while they were senior members of the British royal family and since they announced their decision to step back in January 2020.

Two years before Harry met Meghan in 2016, he organized the inaugural Invictus Games to support wounded, injured or sick veterans while also allowing them to compete in various Paralympic-style sporting events. The Duke of Sussex, a military veteran himself, has continued to run the charity with Meghan following their 2018 wedding.

After the duke and duchess stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, they launched a nonprofit organization called Archewell. A source exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2023 that Meghan remains "laser-focused" on Archewell. "Everything she considers must fall in line with an Archewell initiative," the insider added of Meghan’s future career plans.

In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began rolling out their nonprofit organization Archewell. At the time, the site featured a note from Harry and the California native explaining their goal for the organization.

"I am my mother's son. And I am our son's mother. Together we bring you Archewell. We believe in the best of humanity. Because we have seen the best of humanity. We have experienced compassion and kindness, from our mothers and strangers alike," the message read. "In the face of fear, struggle and pain, it can be easy to lose sight of this. Together, we can choose courage, healing, and connection. Together, we can choose to put compassion in action. We invite you to join us. As we work to build a better world, one act of compassion at a time."

The site described Archewell as a nonprofit that "drives systematic cultural change across all communities."

In November 2020, Harry quietly volunteered for a veterans' charity in Compton, California, called the Walker Family Events Foundation. The organization, which helps veterans and their families facing homelessness, shared two photos of the royals helping to pack and deliver food to those in need.

"Today I had the honor of meeting and working alongside Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex," one photo caption read. "He joined us in volunteering at Compton VFW for the Operation Nourish program packing and distributing food to our #compton neighbors. He is very humble and kind."

In February 2021, Genesis Women's Shelter & Support in Dallas received a donation from Harry and Meghan through the Archewell Foundation. The donation came after Texas was hit with icy and snowy weather that devastated some areas, including Dallas.

"Today, we learned that the news of the damages we incurred from Winter Storm Uri reached Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," the shelter tweeted. "Through their nonprofit Archewell Foundation, they are supporting us by replacing the roof at our transitional housing apartment complex and also helping us meet our immediate needs. Thank you, Archewell Foundation."

Months after it was announced that Archewell would be working with World Central Kitchen to build four Community Relief Centers in the Caribbean, the first center was completed in February 2021. The effort was first announced in December 2020 — three years after the area was hit by Hurricanes Maria and Irma in 2017.

"The kitchen equipment — including refrigerators and freezers that can work entirely off the electrical grid using solar power — is now installed and ready for the school's staff to cook for students and the community, and we will be launching a culinary training program later in the year. These trainings, based on Sink to Stove and our upcoming Chef Relief Training program, will equip chefs in the skills necessary to cook for the community and even feed large numbers of people in an emergency. From this Community Relief Center, we anticipate being able to prepare thousands of meals per day in the direct aftermath of any future storm."

The couple celebrated their son’s 2nd birthday in May 2021 by asking anyone who was willing to make a donation in his honor toward healthcare in underserved communities. "We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor of Archie’s birthday," they wrote in a statement via their Archewell website. "Many of you donate to charities on his behalf and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service — all through the goodness of your hearts. You raise funds for those who need it the most and continue to do so organically and selflessly. We remain incredibly grateful. … We are inviting you to contribute whatever you can — if you have the means to do so — to bring vaccines to families in the world’s most vulnerable places."

After releasing her children’s book, The Bench, in June 2021, Meghan announced that she and Harry would be donating 2,000 copies of the book to schools, libraries and more. "After more than a year of unprecedented challenges for schoolkids and families everywhere, the duchess believes the path ahead must include a focus on well-being — and nourishing our communities through food, education, and emotional and mental health support," a statement on the couple’s Archewell Foundation read. "The duchess and Archewell have received the support of the publisher of The Bench to distribute 2,000 copies at no cost to libraries, community centers, schools, and nonprofit programs across the country."

Archewell is also partnering with First Book nonprofit to distribute the book around the country.
