The Blue Devils are going to be a major pain for everyone.

As we learned a few days ago, Caleb Foster was going to be back next year and it was officially confirmed on Monday on the Brotherhood Podcast.

Foster and Tyrese Proctor both talked about being committed to Duke, with Foster saying he was “1,000 percent” a Blue Devil.

It’s a nice backcourt in a lot of ways. Both can play point guard, both can shoot, even if both are streaky. And both are willing defenders.

Foster was better outside offensively than he was inside, but that should improve.

What we like most though is the size that Duke will have next year.

We aren’t big fans of the Bo Ryan/Greg Gard approach to the game. When Ryan brought his Badgers to Cameron for an ACC/Big Ten Challenge game, the size of that team was stunning. They were huge.

Didn’t matter: Duke handled them with ease.

Duke may start one of the biggest teams in history - both guards are 6-5, Cooper Flagg is 6-9, Khaman Maluach is 7-2 and if Sean Stewart or TJ Power starts, both are 6-9.

Good luck scoring against that team - and unlike Ryan’s Wisconsin team, Duke will be tall and fast.

And that kind of shot blocking potential - Stewart, Flagg and Maluach are all imposing shot blockers is likely to lead to a lot of fast breaks for Foster and Proctor to lead.

We’ve said it before and we’ll keep saying it: next season is going to be one of the more anticipated season in Duke Basketball history.
