The Golden State Warriors make a quick stop to the Bay for Saturday night’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. The game will be played at 5:30 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State has lost four of their last five games including Thursday’s 121-113 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors had no answer for a hot Clippers offense, despite them playing without eight-time All-Star Paul George. Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard and James Harden picked up the slack scoring-wise, combining for 55 points, and highlighting, once again, the struggles of Golden State’s perimeter defense.
The biggest positive stemming from this game, however, was the rejuvenation of the Warriors’ Klay Thompson. He ended the night with a game-high 30 points while breaking out of his shooting slump by going 8-of-12 from the three-point line.

What to watch for tonight:
Tonight’s matchup against the Nets begins a very important stretch of games for the Warriors. They play 11 of their next 13 games at home as they hope to crawl their way back into the playoff picture (currently 11th in the Western Conference standings).
Brooklyn is a solid team this season. They are 8th in the East standings with a record of 13-11 and 4-2 in the month of December. They have the 10th best offensive rating in the league (116.9), mostly thanks to their low turnover percentage (13.2) which ranks 8th best in the league.
Meanwhile, Golden State, which has suffered through their share of offensive woes, found some success rolling with their new starting lineup. The additions of Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga make the Warriors’ starting five more dynamic and versatile — peaking the interest of Steve Kerr who admits he will roll with this rotation for the next few games.
