Join us on Thursday, October 5 for an interesting and informative panel presentation about the history of female sports in Ohio and the pioneers who paved the way.
Panel presenters include Tamika Williams-Jeter, Chaminade Julienne graduate, retired professional basketball player for the Minnesota Lynx and the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA and University of Dayton Women's Head Basketball Coach; Ed Zink, Beavercreek and University of Dayton graduate and retired Beavercreek HS Girls Basketball Coach of 46 years with a record of three State Championships and Jeanne Biermann Johnson, Bellbrook and Wright State University graduate, teacher and coach of girls sports for Bellbrook Schools with numerous league titles coaching varsity volleyball and cross country and middle school basketball.
University of Dayton graduate, athlete and coach of 33 years Ginny Greene will serve as the panel moderator. Topics for discussion include Title IX, the transition of five players to six players and back to the five player game, rules of the game, scheduling, transportation, facilities, athletic conditioning, trainers and equity in pay.
This event is free and guests are welcome but YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER by Monday, October 2.
