Merrimack lands Manhattan transfer Samba Diallo

Samba Diallo, the 6-foot-7 senior forward from Manhattan, will transfer to Merrimack, he told ZAGSBLOG.
Diallo did not play at Manhattan last season but averaged 6.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in the 2021-22 season and should help coach Joe Gallo’s team next season.
“Just the coach,” Diallo said. “He’s familiar with the system I played under Mas [Manhattan coach Steve Masiello] and he’s a great guy.”
Merrimack won the NEC Tournament last year but was unable to participate in the NCAA Tournament as it transitioned from Division II to Division 1.
