[Women's Basketball] Shawnee State Defeats Georgetown 73-68 in Overtime in MSC Semifinals
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Seventh-seeded Shawnee State (Ohio) defeated No. 6 seed Georgetown 73-68 in overtime in the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Semifinals Sunday at Bowling Green Arena.
Izzy Lamparty scored Georgetown's (18-13) first five points in overtime as the Tigers led 65-62 with 3:46 left in overtime. The 65-62 lead would be the last time Georgetown would lead in the game. Shawnee State took control going on a 9-0 run sparked by seven points from Holland as the Bears led 71-65 with 16 seconds left. Erin Toller cut the Bears lead to three with 11 seconds left. Holland put the game away making a pair of free throws to give the Bears the 73-68 victory.
