Buffalo transfer Ryan Sabol commits to Providence
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
New head coach Bryan Hodgson has secured himself a knockdown shooter at Providence.
Buffalo transfer Ryan Sabol will play for the Friars next season, according to ESPN.
The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 18.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game on 39.9% shooting from long distance in his junior year for Buffalo.
Sabol’s shooting will be a big help for the Friars, who recently lost one of their best shooters in Stefan Vaaks to the transfer portal.
Sabol joins Westchester Knicks guard Dink Pate and transfers Miles Byrd, Gavin Hightower and Devin Vanterpool as a part of Hodgson’s first recruiting class as the head coach at Providence. The Friars are hoping to have a bounce back year after a difficult season.
