Just a basic case of more talent beating less talent. You can deep-dive this all you want but faster players with more physical bodies and cleaner technical ability win a lot of games. I dont know of much else we could have done to compete and get a second goal based on our talent and skills. We just need more talent to have an honest, realistic chance of beating SLU. Right now its more "hoping we play well and they don't" sort of thing where we need help to win these matches.
I think SLU scores on us from a set piece, corner kick, or PK in nearly every game they play against us. That goes back to the physicality part. When that ball is in the box the game turns from soccer to rugby and its a matter of sheer will.
