Arizona wing Ivan Kharchenov returns to the program
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ
Arizona has taken a big step to being just as formidable next season as they were in their 2025-26 campaign.
Freshman wing Ivan Kharchenov will return to the Wildcats next season, per Recruitsnews.
Kharchenov was a key piece in Arizona’s run to the Final Four last season. He averaged 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists per game in his freshman year under head coach Tommy Lloyd.
The 6-foot-7 wing will allow Arizona to retain a defensive identity alongside Motiejus Krivas and transfers Derek Dixon and JJ Mandaquit. Arizona’s 2026 recruiting class is headlined by five-star recruit Caleb Holt, cementing the team’s expectation to be one of the best teams in all of college basketball once again next season.
