[Men's Soccer] ERAU Blanks No. 10 OUAZ
Through 87 minutes, neither Embry-Riddle, which received votes in the NAIA preseason poll, and Ottawa (Ariz.), which opened the season ranked No. 10 in the nation, could not find the back of the net despite multiple chances in a highly contested in-state matchup. But a save off a corner and a quick push up the field allowed the Eagles to take a late lead on a goal by Alex Frances and then hold on to register a 1-0 in the first matchup between the two programs since 2019. ERAU's Elias Ammon made an stop off of a late corner for the Spirit and immediately kicked the ball up field to Djougher Oliveira, who drew in two defenders, allowing Frances to get open inside the 18. Oliveira got the ball over to Frances, who whipped it into the back of the net at the 87:27 mark.
