[esports] Indiana Tech names Middleton as Esports Coach
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - (IT Release) - Indiana Tech announced the hiring of Jake Middleton as the Warriors esports head coach. Middleton has been gaming competitive since 2005 and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Missouri State University. He went on to receive his Master's in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States.
Middleton has worked with Counter Logic Gaming, Tundra Esports, Houston Outlaws, Seattle Surge, Vancouver Titans, and many more national organizations. His gaming experience includes many titles including League of Legends, Overwatch, and Rocket League - all games that the WHAC sponsors.
He inherits a program that won the inaugural WHAC esports championship after winning the Rocket League Tournament in the fall, finishing third in the League of Legends Tournament, and placing second in the Overwatch Tournament.
