[Baseball] Baseball Tournament Pairings Announced

LIMA, Ohio - (Tournament Page) - The seeds and pod assignments for the 2022 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) have been released. The top six teams in the final season standings qualifed for Pod Play with the two Pods hosted by the top two seeds: top-seeded UNOH and second-seeded Lawrence Tech. The next three seeds required tiebreaking procedures as Cornerstone, Indiana Tech, and Madonna all tied for third in the conference.

Madonna took the No. 3 seed based on head-to-head vs. the tied teams (3-1). Cornerstone was 2-2 for the fourth seed and Indiana Tech 1-3 fell to the fifth seed. Concordia rounded out the six teams qualifying for the tournament. 

Pod Play begins May 5 with  A featuring Lawrence Tech, Madonna, and Cornerstone. Pod B includes UNOH, Indiana Tech, and Concordia. The two pod winners advance to the championship round for a best of three games at the higher seed.
